Urk has her Orca back

The image of the Orca on Urk is into place posted on the Dormakade in the village. The six meters long colossus is made in a shed in Tollebeek by Foundation OrcaopUrk.

This Foundation took the initiative to bring back the image of the animal on the former fishing island. In 1990, the Orca, which stood at the village entrance, has been destroyed by a storm.

Urk has a bond with the animal because the island was called Orck in the past. On May 18th, the statue was officially unveiled during the traditional Urker day. The share of AUGA was delivery of lighting and fountain.

Congratulations Urk with this beautiful replica!
